Since 2014, Tek4Kids has installed and maintained computer labs in partner schools across Jeremie, Haiti, training teachers and students in the digital skills that are now essential to economic participation.
Computer labs and Interactive Projectors
Five fully equipped computer labs and five separate classrooms with Interactive Projectors, reliable power, internet access, and local technical support managed by trained Tek4Kids Haitian staff.
Teacher training
Annual 3 week summer training bringing 60+ teachers up to speed on digital pedagogy, productivity software, and online resources.
Post Secondary Training for Teachers with Certification
In order to help the teachers in Haiti become more proficient in computer skills and the use of Interactive Projectors in the classroom, Tek4Kids developed a new program in the Spring of 2026, offering students from local Teacher Colleges and teachers currently working in a classroom a certification in Basic Computer Skill, Productivity Tools, Internet Access, and the use of Interactive Projectors in the classroom.
Our approach
We don't just ship computers, Tek4Kids provides the local skills to install and maintain the equipment, instruct the Partner School Staff on effective implementation and teaching techniques, and provides curriculum for use in the classroom. Each school also receives training for at least two local technicians, and a curriculum aligned to national education standards.
Our teacher training program has certified more than 200 educators since 2014. These teachers carry the skills forward year after year, long after any volunteer has returned home.
Support a lab
$720 covers one year of internet access for an entire school lab. $7,500 equips a lab with 10 laptop computers, including shipment and customs fees.
