Lycee Jeunes les Filles has some solar capacity but they are unable to sufficiently support the computer and Interactive Projector classrooms and administrative areas during periods of extended cloudy and shorter days. Installation of an 8 solar panels an inverter and 4 batteries in a rack will provide this added power capacity.

About this project
Since Haiti has a high child mortality rate related to the lack of safe drinking water, Tek4Kids initial projects were to install water purification systems to address this need. Tek4Kids uses filtration and chlorination systems to purify the water and provide storage reservoirs. The Tek4Kids team monitors the supply of safe water through remote sensors and is prepared to provide emergency water to the school and the community during natural disasters. Tek4Kids purifies and distributes about 650,000 gallons of water per year.
Tek4Kids cooperates with its partner schools to utilize their central function in the community as a distribution point for clean drinking water. In addition to water purification systems, we also install hand washing stations and drinking fountains. Since many schools do not have facilities for hand washing before meals or after visiting a restroom, this infrastructure protects the school community and inhibits the spread of disease.

About this project
To improve the security within and around the Partner Schools, monitors displaying images at each on-site camera have been installed in the Directors office for five Partner Schools. There is also a window displaying a dashboard highlighting the availability of infrastructure services provided by Tek4Kids, including the amount of purified water available, battery charge percentage, Starlink data transmitted, and Wi-Fi network availability.

About this project
Providing the technology with computer hardware, interactive projectors and network infrastructure is just part of the effort to improve the educational abilities and outcomes for students in Haiti. Ensuring the local teachers have the skills to use to technology in a classroom setting is an equally important part of the Tek4Kids mission. The Tek4Kids team has been offering courses in basic computer literacy, productivity tools, and using the Interactive Projectors to create engaging curriculum since 2020. In 2026, we expanded the Summer Teacher Training to include a separate session for the four new partner schools' educators with an emphasis on using the Interactive Projectors.
We had excellent participation, and were able to issue 120 certificates at the closing ceremony.
